How to Read a Supplement Label

How to Read a Supplement Label

Most supplement labels look complicated. They don't need to be.

If you're choosing a pre-workout, don't get distracted by flashy claims on the front of the tub. Turn it around and look at what's actually inside.

  1. Look at the serving size

Check whether the ingredient amounts shown are for one full serving. Some products use multiple scoops to reach the amounts advertised.

  1. Check the actual ingredient amounts

Seeing an ingredient on the label isn't enough. Look at how much you're actually getting per serving.

  1. Know what the ingredients are there to do

A good pre-workout formula should have a clear purpose. Depending on the product, ingredients may support pump, performance, hydration or focus.

  1. Check for stimulants

If you train later in the day, check the caffeine content. A stimulant-free pre-workout can be useful when you want training support without adding caffeine close to bedtime.

  1. Don't confuse a long ingredient list with a better formula

More ingredients doesn't automatically mean a better product. What matters is what's included, how much is included, and whether it fits what you actually need.

The bottom line

Ignore the hype. Read the label, understand what you're taking, and choose a product that fits the way you train.

That's exactly why we make INFRNO transparent about what's in every serving.
